Don Kingfisher Campbell
THE BOY WITH POEMS IN HIS HEAD
He keeps them inside
Always smiling
He's tapping his pencil
On the desk to beats
He quietly laughs
For his own reasons
His hair stands up
And then his teeth
Move a little in his mouth
Whispering words
So nobody can hear
Don't you wish
You had verses inside you too
He taps his noggin some more

Don, the teachers and students had a wonderful time yesterday! When we get back from spring break I'll have some poems to send you. Thanks again, your visit was the highlight of Literacy Week! Cindy Dominguez, Literacy Coach, Napa Elementary School
